Peddavagu project breach: CPI seeks ₹500 crore for repairs
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has requested ₹500 crore from the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to rebuild the Peddavagu irrigation project, which was severely damaged in the 2024 floods. The project irrigates 23,000 acres and supplies water to about 30 villages. State secretary G. Eswaraiah wrote a letter to the Chief Ministers highlighting the urgent need for repairs.
