Lost World War II Yiddish songs to debut in Shanghai, Hong Kong and South Korea
The project “Yiddish Glory”, featuring anti‑fascist songs uncovered from a Ukrainian wartime ghetto, will be performed this month in Shanghai, Hong Kong and South Korea. Organiser Anna Shternshis highlighted Shanghai’s historic role as refuge for 18,000 Jewish refugees during the Nazi era. The concerts aim to revive cultural links between the Jewish diaspora and East Asia.
