Basava Jayanti celebrated across Karnataka with processions and cultural programmes
Basava Jayanti was celebrated with fervour across several districts of Karnataka, featuring singing of Vachanas, colourful processions, motorcycle rallies, and religious and cultural events. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah marked the occasion by saying Basavanna's principles must guide everyone's life, and announced an allocation of ₹5 crore for the construction of Basava Bhavan.
