US Opens Portal to Refund Trump's Illegal IEEPA Tariffs
The US government has launched an online portal allowing importers and customs brokers to submit refund requests for tariffs deemed illegal by the Supreme Court two months ago. The Court had ruled that President Trump's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose tariffs was unlawful. Consumers who paid higher prices as a result of the tariffs are not directly eligible for refunds through the portal.
