UK Universities Face Fines Up to £500,000 for Failing to Protect Free Speech
The UK government is set to introduce a scheme under which universities can be fined up to £500,000 for failing to uphold free speech on campus. The Office for Students (OfS) will oversee the programme, which is expected to launch before the upcoming academic year.
