Thin atmosphere detected on distant trans‑Neptunian object 2002 XV93
Astronomers observed a tenuous atmosphere over 5 million times thinner than Earth’s on a 500‑km‑wide Kuiper Belt object, designated (612533) 2002 XV93. The discovery may prompt a rename for the object. Source: Times of Israel.
