Shropshire council staff face abuse over removal of Union Jack and St George’s flags
Shropshire County Council reported a rise in abuse, harassment and intimidation directed at council staff and elected members after unauthorised Union Jack and St George's flags were taken down. The council said workers and councillors have been threatened for explaining the council’s position, linking the intimidation directly to the flag removal.
