Scientists urge countries at Colombia fossil-fuel summit to halt all new expansion
A preliminary scientific report, seen by Carbon Brief, has been presented to roughly 50 nations gathering in Santa Marta, Colombia (24–29 April) for a first-of-its-kind fossil-fuel transition summit. The report recommends that attending countries consider "halting all new fossil-fuel expansion" and rejecting natural gas as a bridging fuel in their energy transitions.
