Russia launches major aerial attack on Ukraine killing at least 16-18, targeting rescue workers
Russia struck civilian areas across Ukraine with hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles, killing at least 16 people and wounding more than 100, according to France 24, while BBC reports the death toll at 18, describing it as the deadliest aerial attack in months. The strikes came after an Orthodox Easter truce period. Russia also accused Ukraine of a retaliatory drone attack that killed two people on Russian soil. Aid organization Dignitas Ukraine warned that emergency responders are being deliberately targeted and will soon require armored vehicles to operate safely.
