Poet and musician Kae Tempest has spoken to The Guardian about his gender transition, sexuality, and pronouns ahead of the release of his follow-up novel — ten years after his debut. Tempest described drawing strength from literature and reflected on a life spent on the edge, saying simply: 'I'm just glad to be alive.'
