Hong Kong Adviser Urges Caution in Applying New Civil Service Accountability System
Executive Council convenor Regina Ip has called on the Hong Kong government to use its proposed accountability system prudently when investigating department heads, warning against undermining civil service morale. She stressed the system should primarily motivate leaders to identify departmental deficiencies and improve handling of public complaints. Her comments came in a televised interview on Sunday.
