Gallup poll finds only 25% of non‑homeowners expect to buy a house in five years as war in Iran drives prices up

The poll links the low optimism to rising construction costs, which analysts attribute to material price spikes caused by the war in Iran. Homebuilders and prospective buyers are therefore grappling with higher prices and affordability challenges.
