Election Commission Orders Full Repoll in West Bengal’s Falta Constituency
The Election Commission of India has directed a complete re‑poll in the Falta Assembly constituency of West Bengal after serious irregularities were reported on April 29. All 285 polling booths will vote again on May 21, with counting slated for May 24. Allegations include EVM button tampering with adhesive tape and perfume, voter intimidation, obstruction and the presence of party cadres inside polling stations.
