Eastern section of HK$7 billion Fanling Bypass opens to ease traffic ahead of new housing development

The 4‑km eastern stretch of the Fanling Bypass was opened on Sunday, just in time for the influx of residents moving into the nearby Fanling North new development. Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn said the dual‑lane carriageway will help prevent congestion in the area. The project is part of a larger HK$7 billion effort to improve road networks in the New Territories.
